The Wasp Factory // Title Sequence

 

This is a title sequence I created as part of one of my projects at university where I was asked to pick one book from a list that were soon to be released as films and to develop an engaging and exciting promotional campaign for the release of the film. The book I chose was The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks.

 

I wanted to pull Frank apart as a character of the novel and explore his insanity. I looked into his obsession of wasps and the rituals he would perform on them by analysing the wasps skeleton and tied it in with the male hormones that are passing through his body like ink spreading its way through the pages of a book.
