The Inner Side // Fashion Film
Riyak Iman is an up and coming designer graduated from Birmingham City University.
Her final collection “The Inner Side” takes inspiration from renowned artist, Jenny Saville.
BCU Visual Communication were given the task of creating a fashion film to promote her final major project.
Taking note of Riyak Iman’s inspiration, we created a film celebrating nudity and the female form. Collaborating as a group of 5, made up of graphic designers, photographers and an illustrator, we used our visual communication skills to effectively create a final product that fitted the brief perfectly.
Breaking the stigma that women should feel ashamed of their bodies, we filmed our model fully nude with body paint in the style of Jenny Saville. Her sensual aura emits confidence whilst contrasting well with the elegant footage of the clothing.
